Dogs and owners welcome at annual HOPE Center fundraiser
The annual Mutts, Meows and Margaritas fundraiser to benefit the Alle-Kiski Area HOPE Center and its Saf-T Kennel will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Natrona Heights Veterans of Foreign Wars pavilion, 894 Veterans Drive, Harrison.
Dogs and their owners are welcome and there will be a buffet, margaritas and raffles. Activities for canines and their owners will include professional photographs, a sketch artist and photo contest. Cat lovers can email a photo of their pet in advance to maryb@akhopecenter.org. A special photo lanyard will be prepared to wear at the event.
Tickets are $20; $35 per couple, and dogs are free. Dogs must be on a 6-foot, non-retractable leash. For tickets, mail a check made out to Alle-Kiski Area HOPE Center Inc. to P.O. Salvation Army free lunch distribution offered Thursday
The Allegheny Valley Salvation Army and Community Center in Brackenridge offers free grab and go lunches from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays in parking lot at the center, 917 Brackenridge Ave.
Free grocery items from Walmart and Aldi will be available. Everyone is welcome.
